When a ventilated floor is needed
A ventilated floor suits rooms where the slab or ground retains moisture, where mould or persistent odours appear, or where residual emissions from older materials must not stay sealed under an impermeable finish.
Basements converted to occupied use, ground-floor apartments, retail on damp slabs, and renovations over older concrete often need an organised underfloor air path rather than a closed wet screed that traps vapour.
How the system works
Adjustable supports and boards form a continuous void above the structural deck. Intake and extract paths are detailed so air can move through that void according to the project ventilation strategy.
The floor package itself is installed dry. Edge details, outlets, and firestopping where required are agreed with the building plan so ventilation is intentional, not left to random gaps after finishes are down.
