Design, installation and programming

Our lighting work starts with the electronics design: power, drivers, circuits and control for every lit element. We then install and programme the system.

In a studio or feature interior, light is part of the finishes. Its fixing, cable route and service access are decided before the wall is built, so we plan it with the design.

Light built into the architecture

In the live-casino studio on our site, a lattice of linear light runs along the curved walls and under the stairs, and concealed light runs between wave-shaped bands on the gallery.

Podium edges are lit, table plinths carry LED rings at floor level, and a sheer fabric wall is backlit behind gold fins. Warm-white light dominates.

Lighting states for broadcast

A broadcast set works in more than one lighting state. The studio walkthrough shows two: decorative light only, and full camera lighting with the dealers in soft, even, frontal light and the decorative layer still on.

Camera light is normally specified by the operator's broadcast team. We coordinate power, mounting positions and the control system with them and programme the decorative and architectural scenes.

Light in panels, timber and joinery

One studio room has upholstered wall panels with light lines in the joints. Behind a roulette table, vertical timber slats carry inset linear lights, and an atrium wall of staggered planks has light slots and planted pockets.

The slot, cable route and access panel are drawn into the joinery from the start, and timber parts can be machined in our own CNC workshop.

FAQ

Do you design camera lighting for broadcast?
Camera lighting is usually specified by the operator's broadcast team. We design, install and programme the decorative and architectural lighting, and coordinate power, mounting positions and control with the broadcast team so the two work as one system.
Can the lighting switch between scenes?
Yes. Programming is part of our lighting work. A studio usually needs at least a decorative state and a full working state for camera, and we set up and test the scenes on site with the operator's team.
Do you install lighting outside casino studios?
Yes. We light rooms as well as sets. Past work includes light lines in upholstered wall panels, linear lights inset in a timber slat wall and light slots in an atrium plank wall.
What do you need to start a lighting project?
Drawings of the space or the set design, the intended use of each area and, for a studio, the operator's requirements for camera light. If the design is still in progress, we can join at that stage.
